We're two guys from upper Silesia that ended up playing around with audio gear. Robert is a master of tubes. It's like his natural habitat or something. Jakub at the other hand is more solid state oriented. Transistors, MCUs - you name it. That gives us a lot of versatility.
We have a lot of experience prior to forming Stereo Valve Werke. That doesn't mean we know anything. Every device that we work on is a unique opportunity to learn new stuff and better methods to do our work.
Of course, we do repairs. Most of our repair work revolves around vintage audio like Telefunken, SABA or ELAC. We regularly work on Sansuis and other brands as well.
We stick to reputable brands for replacement parts - Vishay, Kemet, or Wima for passive components. Also, we have a pretty big collection of vacuum tubes.
We have some nice projects we thought are worth sharing, so here they are. Trained on some really weird solutions we saw in many devices we came across, we decided to make something good. Just good. No gimmicks, only things that are proven to be solid. There's not much to break here, actually.
Our favourite project so far. Compact headphone amplifier. Enclosure made from powder coated 2mm steel sheet. Works, sounds and looks good. Not much else to say.
